Official Voting
Official Voting is where proposals that have gained enough support in the Initial Proposals section would move into a more serious voting stage.
In the full version of this system, voters would review the proposal, relevant factual information, and the strongest supporting and opposing arguments before casting an official vote.
This section is currently a working prototype. Proposals can be moved here by an administrator,
but the full official voting system is still under development.
How Official Voting Is Intended to Work
Qualification
- New proposals begin in the Initial Proposals section.
- Visitors can discuss and rate those proposals.
- Strong proposals can be moved into Official Voting.
- Future versions may use monthly voting cycles.
Informed Voting
- The proposal text would be presented clearly.
- Relevant factual information would be summarized.
- Supporting and opposing arguments would be compared.
- Voters would be encouraged to review all sides before voting.
